The kingdom of our Lord is coming soon
I can see the signs everywhere

I can tell you don't look well, it's showing
Weak in spirit, weak it is, your hollow dream

I can tell you reek and smell of disbelief
Suffer heathen, as you're paying for your sins

Could this be the start of Lord's new Eden ?
If it's so, I refuse to see the marks on me

Weak it is, your hollow dream !

Now I have to crawl, hiding from their hungry eyes
Swallowing the filth, I curse my empty lies

Covered by the worms, my skin is turning blue
Lords of falling Earth, I give my soul to you


2. DARK LANE

I've heard men saying, what can we craft ?
With words they fed us and never laughed
So many swear by what sages speak
So many hours we waste mild and meek

The holiest, the nameless dead
Even wise men grow tense

Turn then from lying, from us softly dying
We are the living, our lives still giving
Body for body and blood for blood
Yet great are the fallen, beaten to mud
Wrecked and whirled under the gulf of the sea
When sleepers are waking and yet still they dream

Among the waves that sputter and hiss,
Was it all for only for this ?
Casting an eye to cloudless air,
I might have spared my idle prayer

If you will stretch a hand out to say,
Cast your mind on those better days
Walk down that lane then you will find,
Something drops from eyes long blind

The stars are still singing and the loves full of thunder,
Times unforgotten the passion of wonder,
Full of the sound of the sorrow of fears,
My hair is still graying, but not with the years

Dilated eyes, hair on the rise
One man's worry is not worth the strife
