On the shore of the lake that fall she pierced her chest
To rejoin her love and to end pain, her quest
With a blazing blade the white dress she tore apart
Ravaging the pale skin to the core of her heart
Just thirteen winters, seasons of chill and rain
Before death took her love so fast with anguish and pain
Conscious no more springs were to come again
Realizing no love and no death is in vain

And whilst the blood flew out of her young heart
And from this life of mourning she did depart
The shudder of death whirled her with a shriek
From her weak throat thus she did finally speak
Now I am spirit, pure essence in despair,
Just a leaf left at the mercy of the air
In the reign of the dead I shalt seek thee
My love, and dance in ether for eternity

Thenceforth the lake of tragedy became scarlet
As her cheeks during the first and only kiss,
As the blood of the innocent on the thorn
Of the first gathered rose


3.THE HAUNTED LAKE

Crimson gloomy sky, darkness creeps deep inside
Her body lying dead, supine as comes the night
Spirits now rise and around her cry and dance
Intertwined blow a coil of death and romance

See her weak hand still holding that knife
See that blade with whom she took her own life
The blood still dripping on waters of dread
The whisper of Zephyr caressing the young virgin dead

For so long I've been waiting for this day
In which I'd quench my thirst in such a tasty way
I must seize her innocent soul
To banquet in blood and revel forevermore

Now she wakes from her peaceful, bloodstained sleep
Her soul separates from her body in the night, oh so deep
What suffering had such a sweet angel gone by?
What malice made her so crazy to compel her to die?

Now she is a wistful, ethereal ghost
An evanescent shadow lost in the fog
Vanishing memories of times evergone
The solitude of missing the loved one
Wandering aimlessly in this dark night of frost
She remembers images and words now lost
Fragments of frailty weeping for woe
A grim cry for her fallen love

This shining blossom of innocent grace
Lies eternally with death in glum embrace
A soft glacial breath caresses her face
Behold! Her spirit doth slowly raise
We are the spirits, the ghosts of the lake
From the apathy of death we plead you to wake
Tell us of thy past and of thy misery
From sorrow and grief thou art now free


4.MEMORIES OF SORROW

I plead you for mercy oh twins of shadows
Spare my wretched spirit torn by tearful angst
I shalt tell you of the grief and sorrow and cruelty
That destiny kept aside for me

Free yourself from the burden of remembrance
Reveal whence thou came and whither thou art headed in trance

You wilst hear of my damnation and of eternal tears
That love wept for both joy and disgrace in a life of few years

In times of yore, I was a young blithe maiden
Whose virgin heart was of innocence laden
Wandering in the forest the bliss of love I met one day
A sweet kiss blown from a charming youth on my way
My heart was overwhelmed by the swirl of passion
His glowing eyes filled me with rapture so shone
My heart was now in him and so was his in mine

The silent moon in darkness was our ally

I will find the spirit of thy loved one

Lost in eternity, screams of despair

A rapture of tragedy steeped deep into cruelty

Beauty! What an ephemeral virtue for a girl!
Time gives yet time takes when Death comes with its swirl
And eternity shalt devour thy youthful splendour, bleak
Bereft and devoid of what lovers in lovers seek

Share thy wisdom my Lord
Of my beauty shan't I be shorn
Dost thou really know how to help my guise
And art willing to do so or art thine just lies?

I shalt now listen to thy litany
And finally disclose the mystery

The waters of the lake art the mirror of thy soul
Yet only a pure spirit might preserve its virtues not worn

On the lake, beneath the moon I'm moaning and mourning till the end
Deep in my soul, silence and cold
No hope for my love, past memories I hold

Yet as a rose that withers in the darkest night
It vanishes far away from the light
And I am left here alone in the dark
With the chasm of my memories tearing my heart
Tears flow and carve my young face

Everything overwhelmed with quiet violence
