Welk een triomf dit geweest is,

Het laat zich ook niet met iets anders vergelijken als.
Slechts met dit beeld:
Het leven, dat midden in de dood geboren wordt
Het is ook te verge­lijken met de opstanding uit de dode.
In dit licht heeft mijn geest al spoedig alles kunnen
Doorzien en hij heeft aan alle schepselen,
Aan het kruid en aan het gras
God herkend en het is hem duidelijk geworden, wie
God is, hoe God is en wat Zijn wil is.


2. THE THREEFOLD LIFE

In this outer circle we will strugle bitter in our heart
In this flesh we live half blind.
Transcending the sorrows of this world.
A spirit set aflame.
From its center light unfolds.

Threefold Existence in the dust of Time.
A morningrise, a star afar.
But will it last ? Will it prove ?
For our winter to come.


3. SEVEN SPIRITS

Seven spirits, seething in october rain.
Seven spirits dewlling Silent in the evening winds.
Revealing between the leaves, somber is this autumn joy.
May the wind carry our thoughts to sound somewhere far.
