So many people go through life never satisfied
They're always longing for things to fill them up with pride
A new promotion, a brand new car
Some thing or other make them feel just like a star

Wanting recognition, honor or fame
When you boil it right down, most folks are the same

But there is only one thing that I really want to hear
When I stand before God's throne with Jesus standing there

But I fear that when I get there I wont hear those words
Cause I know that there is so much more that I must learn
The work of the kingdom on this earth wont be done
