Tellus Requiem

It started with a phone call..
Xavier, we are going to see Kamelot
tonight at Lausanne, and we have a ticket left, do you want to come
us ?  well....why not ?
So here we go.....
No time for me to listen a bit that
band who play first, Tellus Requiem, I will discover them tonight, I
didn't knew even their existence before the gig. Just read that they
are coming from Norway.



So welcome at the Dock de Lausanne for
the show, tonight, we can hear Kamelot that share the evening with
Revamp but at first the scene is taken by that unknown band (for me)
Tellus Requiem.



Let's start now with a melodic
introduction as the members appears under the red lights into the
stage, Vidar is already behind his drum as Anders at his keyboard,
then come Stig (guitar), Ivar (bass) and Ben the singer.
After a musical introduction that take
near three minutes, we know already two things, it's a progressive
metal band and it sound good....no time to rest 'cos the music is
maybe melodic but already powerfull. And now we can here the singer
with his voice that sound nicely with their kind of music,
furthermore he his very comunicative with the audience, always
smilling, mobile, playing with his mike stand during the musical
parts......and we have also two over charismatic musiciens with the
guitars players......even Vidar with his drum play a very powerfull
and dynamic show, Anders also try to participate with headbang ;
and the audience already enjoy the show and answer to all the
participation requests from the team Tellus Requiem. As the band
enjoy to share their music wit us,we also listen to them with
attention, because of the music that sounds very rich and complexe,
we discover tonight a very good progressive metal band with Tellus
Requiem, a music very technical certainly and not easy to appreciate
deeply if one are looking for just single melodies, but it sounds
greatly and the show that support the music is very good, even a
great show, so the audience and the band seems to be one now, and
that until the end of the show ; a great performance for Tellus
Requiem, 'cos they are probably unknown by all before tonight, and
they needed less than minutes to be in communion with all the
showroom !

No time out with them, they'll just
introduce two songs of their first album « Frontiers »
and the last one for tonignt « Oblivion » but althoug
they all were so communicative and charismatic, and their music his a
great mix with accoustic, old, powerfull sound but always melodic,
that's not just technical music, that's a real music..;I hear what a
good drummer.....such a good band...whaoo....everybody in the
audience appreciate. And after thirty minutes, it's time for Tellus
Requiem to pass the hand to Revamp and invite us to meet them after
the show.

I'm trying to hear informations from
the crowd and I alway recieve the same comment « very good
band......good musiciens.....nice show....surprising....I really
enjoyed it » Tellus Requiem seems to belong to the great wave
of the progressive metal bands from Norway anr really merit their
place for the European tour with Kamelot and Revamp.



But at the end of the evening, after
the two others show, I heard many times « The best musical band
tonight was the first one » I saw many metal concert on my life
but it's the first time that I hear that so such.



Now we are more to know and appreciate
Tellus Requiem
