ReVamp

We are back at Lausanne for the second
show of the evening, after Tellus Requiem, it's time for us now to
welcomme ReVamp, the band from Holland with Jord and ArJan at the
guitars, Ruben at keyboard, Matthias behind the drum, Henk, the new
member of ReVamp will accompany Floor at the mike.

I already saw that band three years ago
after a tour with Epica and Kells, at that time, I met many people a
little bit disapointed by ReVamp' s music but their show sound good.

But now ReVamp is not a starting band
after a restruring time. They have released their second album « Wild
Card » that year ; and meanwhile Floor Became the new
singeress of Nightwish. So Revamp, just a second project or a real
true band ? Less than one hour before answer....

And the show start immediatly with
power !! By the first title of their new album « On the
Sideline » no time for us to get inside smoothly ; the
ReVamp's team is ready to rock us at once, the five members of the
band are all playing with energy and support their singeress all
together, and Floor is a very charismatic person and tonight she'll
give us a great performance of her talent...anyway, she is using each
kind of her voice, metal, lyric ; growl......all of that sounds
perfect.

And the three guitars men are not
staying behind, they are moving, playing with headbang, cheer the
audience on to rock with them....well, we can appreciate that ReVamp
is real a full band, not just Floor and the others, and the show is
becoming so much better. Oh, by the way you can play a little game
with the guitars men, guess whom face under those hairs ;)

Almost all the tracklist played tonight
comes from their new album and we can discover Wild Card with
pleasure, that new opus from ReVamp sounds much better than the first
one, more complexive, various and dynamic, and darker ; I
recognize many title from the first album, of course they played the
best ones like Head Up High, Kill Me with Silence and it doesn't
minimise the efficiency of their nice performance. Have the feeling
to discover ReVamp tonight for the first time, probably 'cos there is
a lot of maturity relative three years ago..and I really think that
Wild Card sounds much Better than ReVamp (the album) and tonight, we
have much more lyric songs with growls inter alia...in brief,
everything sounds better.

ReVamp is not just Floor's band,
tonight we have the real feeling that everybody is happy to play for
us, and the audience is fully warm and according with the band.
Obviously, a lot of them came here to see just Floor......but after
the show, my ears recieved a lot of « didn't knew ReVamp
before, they are a very good band on stage ! » Sometimes
« Don't like very much that kind of music, but really great
show » « Another good discovery with ReVamp tonight,
I knew only Floor before».

Tonight we also discover a very nice
song from Wild Card with « Disturbed Lullabies » a song
full of contrast, sweet and powerfull, perfect to appreciate Floor's
full enhancement of her wonderfull voice..that sound's even more
better then follow the song « In Sickness : Disdain »
with again many very heavy growls and energetic riffs.....all the
room loves ReVamp now, sure !

Soon it's time to end that great show
and ReVamp proved to all that they are a really great live band, and
even if Henk, the bassplayer, told me after the show that the
audience was trully amazing at Lausanne tonight, ii should answer him
that there cannot be an amazing audience without amazing band on
stage.

After the show, all the ReVamp team
invite us to meet them at the end of the evening (after the next
concert with Kamelot) and all the band will share with us a very kind
moment ; even Floor althoug she is the star of the evening share
time with everyone....Floor is a great lady of all the metal scene,
and not only by size...

And you ReVamp, welcome to the big
leagues.......
