I think one can speak about Heavy Metal within the album "Stainless Class" of Judas Priest (1978). Even their previous albums (just listen Rocka' Rolla from 1974)are more hard-rock than Metal. Within Stainless Class, they entirely cut-off the blues part of the hard-rock (it's the main reason I didn't like and I still don't like the hard-rock).
