Black Metal is the devil's fuel-Darkthrone

First of all we have pay our respects to Venom who in 1982 released the album Black Metal that started it all, and then came bands like Bathory, Mercyful Fate, King Diamond, Sabbat.

Secondly I have to mention Black Metal bands like Burzum, Mayhem, Immortal, Emperor, Enslaved, and any other bands that were part of Black Metal Inner Circle that started the Norwegian Black Metal scene. Of course Norwegian Black Metal scene is the scene that influence most of The Black metal we listen to today.

With all that info I think the best black metal bands in my opinion are
1. Venom (the band that started it all)
2. Mercyful Fate/King Diamond
3. Emperor
4. Immortal
5. Sigh (one of the first bands to sign with Euronymous)
6. Mystic Circle
7. Black Altar
8. Sammath Naur

.......act. am not the biggest black metal fan but according to a frien of mine, Mayhem are the BEEST!!!

i'm not a black metal fan , but i like Necrophobic the most coz they are not pure black metal they are black death metal

behemoth they were back metal but now they are death metal (musically) and i think they are trying to play just like Vader

Venom, Burzum and .... Catamenia... Actually Catamenia is melodic black metal, but they are still great!

I'm not a big black metal fan...but Bathory , Hellhammer , Celtic Frost and Venom are the true genesis of the genre...I like also Dimmu Borgir , Marduk and Immortal 'cause they put the style in a higher level and free it from the Dark underground.
