Sure.... It´s different only in terminology... but here in Europe if you´l say about  Lucifer  he is  Jinn , then allmost everyone imagine only  Jinn from  Aladin´s lamp fairytale.
In Europe is used Christianan´s  terminology... fallen Angel ( light bringer)
Jinn sounds funny 0  (but its correct  too.)

See....... According to christains, Satan, Lucifer, Devil...whatever it is0  Is a fallen Angel as you said before a "light bringer". Which can be seen as something possitive(+) or maybe "supperior" right?
 
While in the Muslim context. He's a "Jinn" since he can Sin like humans do. & he fall from heaven for the same reason that made Adam & Eve fall too......=SIN
And to be an Angel is much different than that... means NOT having the ability of Sin, sort of "perfect"....
