  Fifth circle Registered the : 2008-03-31 Messages: 19 | Metal music is weapon much More than other music styles, becouse Metal is noisy, loud and they can´t ignore it. The f ! clerics of islam have respect and they have a fear from Heavy Metal More than from other "west-culture products".
Sepultura´s lyrics (Propaganda, Chaos A.D.... ) was really great weapon for Brazil man (not only for Brazil Metalians) Metal was, still is, and Will be influence in politics. (Sorry for my Bad English)  K.P.King | ||

I believe it is quite preposterous to believe that metal alone drives More the conscience of our politicians than any other music... For information, rock bands like U2 and Bono, even if I don't like them, have done much More than all metal bands combined together. Same goes to hip hop bands in the 80's or black music in the 70's. It is also true of folk, country or actually any kind of genre. It's not the music that makes the message but the people who play it and intend to put something More in their lyrics than basic 'I'll always love you' or 'we don't care what you say...' for all that matters. And to be quite frank, your message is More effective when it is widely heard, hence when you play music that Will reach 90% of all people. And that quite disqualifies most metal bands. If not all but very few (kinda like Sepultura which was aforementioned). A Beginning is a very delicate time  | ||

Religion´s like this was and still are problem for people which living in land where is politics under religion dictature. Im living in postkomunism country (Czech republic) Here was strong underground full of rock bands, actors and poets who helped to destroy komunism. Many from that rock bands had hard and heavy sound... People lived in fear but their hopes and belives was stronger with that kind of art. In komunism or other kind of dictature they had no choice,must Accept or Fight and sometimes happend someone died. In komunism was hard censure like on near east lands (Saud Arabia, Syria ...) I must change little bit my opinion : Heavy Metal is good weapon in dictature , but in west lands is so weak becouse people have no respect for freedom they have. VastAire have truth if he said bands like U2 or other pop-smile bands can make More in politics than Metal. But in lands under dictature Will have Rock and Havy Metal stronger influence than other music styles. The dictators call it rebelion, but we know it´s only calling for freedom. This is my opinion. Fourth circle Registered the : 2007-12-05 Messages: 4225 | You have a point for what happened in Czech Republic but if you Cross your border and go to Poland, you'll see that this country was not only freed by artists and intellectuals but catholicism because John Paul II helped their cause and because they do strongly believe in God. Quite funny to see that a similar result was brought by different causes. A Beginning is a very delicate time | ||
