| there are many ways to express your political view, amonge these ways "Arts": Literature, Poetry, Cinema, Music... and Metal as a musical genre.

if it is a thorn,

| There's a very tough relation between metal and politics, the first is away to speak and criticize the second, and we can deduct that just looking to the lyrics of some bands (i have Megadeath in mind). There always had been a relation between music (especially metal)and politics, that's it. There's nothing more to add...

| I voted "no" because I don't think that metal has any influence on politics or politicians these days. I do think that the artists' views can sometimes influence the listener's opinions. But that is a big stretch to go so far as to say metal influences politics.

| Now it's my turn
For me there is a relationship between the two! for sure! in a way that Metal can express artists' views, but not necessarily, influences or changes some political discissions.& it can have a somewhat impact on the listeners, to make them aware of the importence of things they don't know, politicaly speaking. Also to make them think "possitively" toward politics & changing people's attitudes.

| ok,i'll try if u wish...
the relathionship between politics & metal is in frames of possibility to express one's point of view in a metal song, but nothing more, for the ideas reflected by an author can be censored.moreover, most of artists & musicians are socially passive &don't take part in the political life of the world.so ivoted"NO"

| There is a relation definitely, although, it shouldn't be, music (art) and politics should not mix together, many people abuse music, not only metal, these days to promote their ideas, and what is the easier way to shape young mind but through music he/she loves?
Young people that see idols in music artists will listen everything that peson have to say, that is coming from experience, I was like that, many people I know were like that. It is the cheapest and one of the most expensive ways of propaganda, no wonder we have 50 different metal styles based on lyrics only (starting from NS, WN, anti-WN...... that sucks!)
