The new Taake album was very enjoyable

maybe i just haven't been listening to as much of the stuff as i used to, but it seems like there hasn't been too many stand out Black Metal releases this year, unless the new Anaal Nathrakh counts, which is flawless as always. Passion is definitely in my top 5 of this year

Svarttjern's new album Toward's the Ultimate is pretty awesome so Far, only on the 2nd track but this band has never disappointed me yet. been a fan of em since their Raped by Svarttjern demo.. It's kinda surreal that they've actually made a decent name for themselves amongst the Norwegian Black Metal bands since then

My favourite Black Metal releases for 2011 are Noregs Vaapen by Taake and Fallen by Burzum, but the year isn't finished yet!! I'm waiting for Blut Aus Nord next release.

Yeah that was a pretty cool release.

Taake's newest album Noregs Vappen and Svarttjern's Towards the Ultimate didn't dissapoint me either. And I thought that Endstille's newest album was pretty awesome too. It was a good year this year (I'll probably make a more detailed list later)
