 Fifth circle role : membre Registered the : 2009-09-23 Messages: 26 | I'm a half breed as they call some of us outhere. I'm half american Indian; and pretty much grew up on the reservation. So it's hard to be proud of the US, espeacially our tribal goverment. They are corrupt as fuck out here. So a lot of us are poor; shit, we still use woodstoves in Winter and boil water for showering outhere. We don't get stuff for free as some may think, mostly because the indians that DO work get taxed. Along with that we usually deal with racism, for me on both ends (from drunk full blooded indians to the hispanic gangs that live on the edges of the reservation). With plenty of meth addicts and drunks to go around.
But its not all that bad out here. People are pretty laid back, and metal thrives out here (but of coarse were constantly on bad ends with the crip and Blood wanna be's outhere). There's also a pretty good sense of anti-organized religion (mostly against protestant christianity out here), and many still practice Ancient ways and language. So I do like it out here, and wouldn't prefer to be anywhere else. Some reservations have it far worse (like the plains tribes), and others have it good. Our tribe is about right in the middle. So I have no respect for our tribal goverment, and would care less for the state let alone the federal goverment; but I like our location. Deserts, Forest, and mountains; with some small towns nearby. So yeah, I like living in America; at least in the West. But I always told myself if Palin or some left wing tree hugger got elected then I'd move to Canada. I'm an enrolled Navajo Indian, who lives on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico. | ||

i know somebody who works out on a Navajo Reservation in Arizona, I gotta agree that the US gov't is REALLY fucked up these days (honestly, i think there's gonna be a Violent Revolution in this country within the next 4 years, if not, then we're probly screwed). i have alotta respect for the Natives who originally inhabited North and South America, you guys have put up with alotta shit from us.
