Any kind of censorship is condescending and stupid.  I love how in America we think that nudity and Sex are the ultimate Evil and g to ridiculous extents to demonize them.  Tv shows teaching shallowness and materialism, extolling Strife and conflict, and utterly lacking in imagination are deemed ok, but Sex is evil.  Mtv is Far fouler than most Gore movies.

Know what I'm being bothered by in relation to TV censorship? This whole thing where they make the whole show go Silent when someone swears for a full second period, as opposed to using the bleeps. I MUCH preferred the bleeps because some of the time you could hear the first letter of the swear and understood what people were talking about, but now the Silence cuts off not only the entire swear, but some of the sound after and before the swear too. I was watching George Carlin and his infamous '7 Words' comedy skit and they Censored it. The whole point of the routine was to point out how stupid censoring words is.

Also, I have recently witnessed the DUMBEST use of censor I've ever come across. The word that was Censored was 'butt'. Nope, no joke.
Anyone watch The Office (US version)?
Anyway, I've seen the DVDs so I know what the uncensored versions are like. The context of the use of 'butt' was this:
Pam was going into labour but she Wanted to delay the trip to the hospital because she was nervous about giving birth. Michael gets a list of things to induce labour and proposes to do the opposite of each thing on the list to delay it. He reads 'eat spicy food', and Kevin suggests sticking spicy food up her butt.
Now with the added 'bleep' sound, it seems to imply Kevin originally saying something even worse.
It's getting ridiculous.
