I think
Power Metal (21'st century) is the
True Metal indeed. In the last, reading some wiki articles, I
Saw some
Scorn regarding the 80's glam
Metal (or hair
Metal - this word was not used in the 80's).Despite the surrounding "glam" (
Sex, drugs, alcohol, sparkling dresses), they produced real
Metal music. Listen W.A.S.P's Last Command, or the first
Two albums of Ozzy (or better the
Tribute to Randy Roads), the
Two Illusions of
Guns N' Roses). Indeed, Chris Holmes from W.A.S.P was lamentable on the interview from the movie about the 80's, but he was a real solo guitar player. My point is even the glam environment has nothing/just a little (my opinion) with the real spirit of
Metal I consider, sometimes is only the music...and
Nothing else matter.
