I'm Canadian myself, but as much as I search, I can't seem to find any good Canadian symphonic, progressive, melodic Power, or melodic Death Metal bands. Anyone know of any??

The Agonist, Neuraxis, Quo Vadis, but that's just melodeath. I'm not into Power Metal.

Burn to Black is pretty good, they're more Melodic Death/Thrash though

huh, i was only able to find one song by Burn to Black, but from that alone they sound pretty descent. i've listened to a but of Quo Vadis..not really my thing, though.
Also, does anyone know of any Quebec metal bands that actually sing in french?lol

Burn to Black only released 1 album, called Mach 666, and disbanded last year. their bassist, Sam Dunn made the documentary Metal: a Headbanger's Journey, and the follow-up to it called Global Metal ((both excellent films)

Unexpect or Strapping Young Lad.

Both are completely insane (mentally and musically). Both are very progressive, but mostly UneXpect.
