Biography : Zubrowska

November 2001: Creation of a still nameless band with: Nutz (guitar), Jon (guitar) & Sam (drums). The activities began with the song: "I Hate Teen Visions" (track 7 from "One on six"), our purpose was trying to play a mix of Brutal Death & Hardcore. Then we were looking for a singer but no one convinced us.

March 2002: After some months we had composed 6 songs and we decided to subscribe at a musical live contest called: JMF (Jeunesse Musicale de France). Two friends of us were temporary bass player & singer: Balt (EXHOPE) and Matt (N.E). We were finalist and after drinking some vodka we decided to call the band ZUBROWSKA (with an "S" like the fuckin' ska-punk bands which are the most appreciated in our country).
April 2002: Thanks to the contest, we met Ben (screams) & Flo (bass), who played Grind/Punk/hxc in their garage, with whom we composed 2 more songs in order to finally make real gigs.

ZUBROWSKAApril 30th, 2002: First brutal live show with CEREBRAL TURBULENCY & ALIENATION MENTAL, which was a fuckin' great night. Guys of the both bands seemed to appreciate our performance and we used to drink very much "Zubrowka" after palying!

February 2003: After composing 3 more songs (track 4, 6 & 8 from "One on six") and hard-working, we decided to concentrate us to record a real full-length album instead of recording scrappy demos. Then the line-up was completed by the coming of Clod (Growls) who brougth us a guttural touch.

February 16th 2003: We started the recording at Bud Records by Barby (Voracious Gangrene) & matt (Gorgasm: from Bordeaux) who still recorded BLOODSHED, IMPLY IN ALL and their respective bands. Clod didn't perform very much on this album cuz' he joined the band only 2 weeks before recording. We needed 6 days for the recording and 1 month for mixing & mastering cuz' they had very much work on other bands they recorded before us. Since that time, we are working for new material and Clod puts his fuckin' brutal voice everywhere .

July 2003: The band is officially under contract with the Spanish label XTREEM MUSIC, and would release this first full-length album in fall 2003.

September 11th, 2003: Our debut album "One on six" was released through XTREEM MUSIC!!
Through months, the band gets a better reputation step by step. Thanks to the worlwide distribution of this product. Even if the album is not really a great commercial success, the reviews are mostly very good and give the opportunity to ZUBROWSKA to perform on stage regularly.

April 2004 : ZUBROWSKA is performing on stage out of FRANCE for the first time with some dates in Spain and a participation to the SWR Fest in Portugal with bands like AKERCOKE, DEAD INFECTION, MACHETAZO... Then, one week later, ZUBROWSKA replaces ABORTED for the "Wretched Spawn tour" in Spain (CANNIBAL CORPSE & KATAKLYSM). By the way, the band began to write new songs for the next album...

November 2004 : ZUBROWSKA started the recording sessions with Stephan May (MORTUARY, TALIANDOROGD) of the 2nd album which is entitled "Family Vault". The result is more mature. This album is mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Converge, Hatebreed and many more). It will be released in April 2005 through XTREEM MUSIC again!
