Биография : Zinc Organ

Zinc Organ (from Skärholmen, a suburb to Stockholm / SwedenN) was founded in 1999 by Johan and a guy called Jocke. In the beginning, it was meant to become a black metal band in the vein of Dark Throne and other obscure Norwegian black metal acts. But since Johan was more into american stuff like Dying Fetus and Soils of Fate, so Zinc Organ became a death metal project.

Johan called up his friend Segge and asked him to join the band, and so he did. Later on, Anders joined on the drums and Lickan on the guitar. They were also friends of Johan's.

Zinc Organ was now a band and they started writing songs. After a while Jocke had to leave, because he wasn't a suitable member of the band. However, the rest of the members kept on going with only one guitarist.

The first song "Circles Shaped in a New Way" was a mixture of technical metal (like Meshuggah and Cynic), US-death metal (Dying Fetus and Broken Hope) and jazzfusion. Sadly, this piece couldn't be played, because it was too advanced for some of the members. Anders and Johan decided to make an easier kind of music so that everyone could play it. The songs "Pleasure of Revenge" and "Hanni Canni" were written spontaniously in one day, and they turned out to be more straight ahead and brutal than the earlier sound. They soon found out that this was the kind of music they wanted to play, so they kept on writing music in the new style.
After a while the members realized that they needed another guitarist, and Johan called Ponta (from the death metal band Incinerator) and asked him to back up Lickan, which he wanted.

The bandname was in the beginning Necrosis, but since it sucked, the guys changed it to Zinc Organ : the mix-up between hard metal and soft, organic, splattering bodyparts.
