YARGOS
1973 / Hanover / West-Germany
After the demise of TIME MACHINE Wieland "Wielo" Hofmeister (drums/voc/guit) and Dirk Werner (guit/voc) grounded the predominantly instrumental art rock-formation YARGOS. Bass player Gunter Hofmann(rest in peace, Hoffi) and Hans Joerg Sender (keys, later BERNARD BUEKER BANDE) then completed the line up.
YARGOS never saw the inside of a studio with this line up, however did tour through Germany establishing them selves amongst the regional acts and supported amongst others UFO, AMON DÜÜL II, the dutch art rock greats EAR and FIRE and EPITAPH. (With an average audience of around 5.000 per night... there were no DVDs or PC games then...).
Although musically talented YARGOS mark I did not survive, Wieland and Hoffi risked the move to ANAXAS, and recorded an E.P. and soon turned in the direction of YARGOS MARK II. The rest is no story...

2001 / Sehnde / Germany
YARGOS still remained Wielo's musical life dream. He worked in his recording studio URZEIT PRODUCTIONS (Sehnde / Hanover) as musician (guit, keys, piano, programing), producer, publishing company and professional advertising manager, and decided it was time for the long overdue album project YARGOS MARK III.
A short spell with Ottfried Mieske (keyboards) and producer Sven "Maximizer" Zimbars is another story...

2003 / Hanover / Germany
The first demos for the planned album had soon convinced his later to be friends and comrades in arms. One of the figure heads of the Hanover rock scene - Anca Graterol (voc) and producer and the multi talented musician Osssy Pfeifer (piano, keys, drums, vocs) gave their "yes" to the go ahead.
Andrew "MAC" McDermott wasn't only the perfect choice as singer for the project, but was also the realization of one of Wielo's dreams. He has come out of the closet and admitted to being a big THRESHOLD fan.

2004 / Hanover / Germany
Peter Pichl (bass) and Andreas "Andy" Kienitz (solo guit) sign up as studio musicians and colleges, breath in YARGOS and breath in to the songs their own spirit. The instrumental takes were recorded in the URZEIT PRODUCTIONS studio under the guiding hand of Osssy.
The band had found its sound, and with Anca's intensive vocal coaching and long days hard but fun work (Mac is still sweating, and laughing) in the FRIDA PARK STUDIO where they worked on the vocal lines together, the pinnacle was applied to the mountain known called YARGOS.

2005 / Hanover / Germany /April/

The end mix from TO BE OR NOT TO BE is created in the FRIDA PARK STUDIO under the caring hands of Osssy and Jan Nemec.
YARGOS LIVES . The story continues.......
