The story of Willow's Whisper begins in the summer of 2000. Nele (keyboard) and Bart (guitar) decide to begin making music. Among others - Nightwish, Tristania and Therion are bands they have in common at that time. Kristof - Nele's brother - will be their bassplayer.
The first rehearsals take place in the legendary bar "De Drie Zwaantjes" in Oostakker. Later, the attic of the garage of the Colle family is transformed into a rehearsalroom. It also serves for the rehearsals of Kristof's punkrockband Best I Can.

In december of the year 2000 a drummer named Karel is added to the band, and Kimme will do the singing. Now the band is (almost) complete, there can really be started making music.

In februari of 2001 Bart and Nele ask Sam to join their ranks and become second guitarist, in which he agrees. In the months ahead some songs are completed and new songs are being written, but in june Bart decides to quit, meaning Sam will have to do all of the guitarworks in expectation of a replacement.

After another change of rehearsingroom to a basement in Ghent (the music had become too loud for the neighbours of our old reahearsalroom), a new guitarplayer is found in Wouter, and shortly after his accession a first gig follow's, a kind of trial, as a support act of a few punkrockbands, one of them being Best I Can. We only play about half an hour, but it is a great experience.

Next are a few months of hard work -after moving once again- and new songs are being worked out.
In november 2002 we are asked to open a party in Wachtebeke, and three weeks later we are playing in Overpelt.
Unfortunately the cooperation with Wouter is getting continuously worse, and at the end of the year 2002 he seems to want to quit Willow's Whisper, with the result that Sam has to take care of all the guitarplaying once again, and our main activities in the following months is reahearsing, writing new songs and looking for a replacement for Wouter.

In June, our search for a guitarplayer and Wim's search for a new band end. In only a few weeks time he manages to practice all of our songs and to bring them live with the rest of the band at stages in Gent and Aalst. Whereafter he is a full member of the band.

In early 2004 Wim has to take a break, because of some personal reasons, and Wouter, who had already been in Willow's Whisper before, is temporarely taking his place. Later on however we considered things, and decide that Wim would not come back again, and that Wouter takes in his old place with Willow's Whisper again.

However, this situation lasts for only 5 performances. Then, Wouter injures his hand and is being put aside from playing the guitar for an indefinite time. However, after thoroughly discussing the situation he does not seem to have the right motivation to rejoin us after his hand would be cured, and we end our cooperation once again. At this point we decide to go on with the 5 who had remained since 2001, at least for the time being.
