The band was founded in Alavus at year 1998, by Jarno Sallila and Mika Valiaho. Stefan Maja (vocals), Pasi Yli-Kätkä (guitar) and Janne Ojala (bass) joined to our line-up.
The band's name in the early days was Servants of Death, but it sounded 'little' idiotic, so we changed it to Garden of Cruelty.

First two years we trained really active, until our comprehensive school ended and our ways parted. Frankly our band practices ended almost totally, besides some small cover projects, but true band practices can be count by fingers of two hands.

In the beginning of 2007 we founded new spark and started with new name (Underverse) and with new bag of tricks. We got our demo out in May 17, 2007 and we are already planning a new demo.
