Biografie : Thy Nemesis

Although THY NEMESIS seems to be a newcommer band, Christcrusher and Tharon are active in the Austrian underground for more then 10 years now. In the summer of 2002 Christcrusher became acquainted with Frost from Satyricon and Tjalve from 1349 in Oslo which gave him the final kick to realize his own visions of Black Metal and to start something new. THY NEMESIS was founded in the winter of 2002 by Christcrusher (vocals, guitars) and Percht (drums and keys) who both played in a strange Black Metal Band called "Moonlake" for five years and both of them were in contact with CCP since 1998. Some fine riffs on the debut album are remains of old Moonlake songs because the riffs were to good to die. In the summer of 2002 Christcrusher met Frost from Satyricon and Tjalve from 1349 in Oslo which gave him the final kick to realize his visions and to start THY NEMESIS. In early 2003 Agrimoth (bass) joined the Band and the rehearsals for Forgotten Dreadful Legends began. During the rehearsals Percht got more and more intersted in the Grindcore-scene and unfortunately left the band. Christcrusher decided to invite Tharon (drums and keys) to come in for Percht, because they both played together in a Death Metal band called "LEUCOMA" in 1993 and Tharon fits perfectly in the band. Although he didn´t like to have a picture of himself in the booklet and calls himself session musician, he is definitely the third member of the band, because he creates the special drumsound that THY NEMESIS needs. All the songs were written by Christcrusher in 2003, who is influenced by bands like Satyricon, Darkthrone or Immortal from the beginning. However, THY NEMESIS doesn´t sound like one of the Norwegian bands. Every country should create its own style of music. THY NEMESIS sounds very fast, aggressive, true and catching. The lyrics tell about long forgotten satanic and heathen tales from Austria. Many people forgot these great legends but now the Forgotten Dreadful Legends appear again. Don´t miss the chance to hear them. You will see Austria in a different and dark light. Austrian Black Metal really has its right to exist, because there is a great scene here and THY NEMESIS is proud to be a part of it in the future.
