Biography : The Veil (FRA)

Traveling from Electro to Black metal, blending together the best of Dark-wave and Gothic, mixing the spirit of classical orchestrations to the lower instincts of industrial sounds, the heavy and heady riffs of alchemist Ben Notox, and the seductive and dark as well as fragile and ghostly vocals of red storm Jensara Swann, take the listener into a whirlwind of emotions. Emerging from the chaos of creation during the ending hours of year 2004, THE VEIL released their first musical legacy in march 2006 with their debut EP, Sleeping Among Serpents, immediately outlined by major global magazines as a band of a new kind, on the border of styles, yet with an already unique and fascinating identity for a newcomer band. Their following Maxi CD, Vestige, released in april 2008 rapidly confirmed their potential and place in the dark scene. After a successful european tour opening for German gothic kings, Samsas Traum, the band was invited to play the cult Wave Gothik Treffen festival , elected one of the best new bands of the year by Sonic Seducer magazine and selected for french Hellfest contest. Strong with a growing european fan-base, they finally decided to land their feet on the british soil and performed in front of a crowded Underworld venue last april. The band is now working on their third release and was proud to premiere some of their new tunes at the Dark Mills Festival and Witchfest in London at the end of 2009.
