Saltus started in January 1997 as a way to musically glorify their hatred for the foreign and perverted religion of christianity in their ancient lands. In the beginning of November 1997 the horde recorded a demo/reh. tape - "Inexploratus Saltus", which was met by mixed reactions from the black metal underground. Band members are today not very pleased with this reh. tape. After the recording session band members were changing continually. Between April and Novemer 199 the band has recorded "Slavonic Pride" containing 9 hateful hymns. At that time of this recording SALTUS were: Bithorrn (guit.), Darek (drums), Faun (voc.), Wojnar (guit. & keyb.) and session musicians: Wojtek (bass) and Jacek (keyb.-Intros). After the session Wojnar and Faun left the band. After this SALTUS were: Bithorn (guit.), Darek (drums), Sokaris (guit.), Aldaron (bass). Main force of the SALTUS"s music are the lyrics, inspired by our Native Slavonic Belief.
