The Rising Kingdom began in Trento at the start of 2005.
The group was initially set up by two guitarists, Matteo Tonini, and Michele Bertò, who at the time were with Shadows Herald. The pair were immediately joined by Nicola Tonini (Matteo's brother) on the drums, Era on the bass guitar and Martina ..boards.
From the start, the group decide to devote itself to Power and Heavy Metal, taking inspiration from groups such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Helloween.
Long hair and lots of commitment were the order of the day, and the first Iron Maiden cover versions start to take shape in a small room at Pedicastello.
During these initial months, RISING KINGDOM began to compose their first songs Leave My Lands e Undeath. Soon after, in October 2005, Era decides to leave the group to study.
So, left without a bass guitarist, Rising Kingdom decide to search for the missing component.
After a few months, Luca Porcelluzzi, who at the time was with the thrash metal group Mörder, decides to abandon that project and dedicate himself to Rising Kingdom, bringing with him his decisively less power and more thrash soul.
Everything goes fine for a few months, and then Martina also decides to leave the group.
The band feel the need to search for a new keyboardist and singer. Luca manages to convince Daniele Chini and Vincenzo Altomonte, respectively keyboardist and singer in Dream Catcher, to become part of the band.
After few rehearsals with this ultimate configuration, in 2006, the first demo "MadE In ThE HoUsE oF PiCtUrEs" is recorded.
It contains the first three unpublished pieces (Undeath, Medieval Battle e Bygone Is Far Away). After this first demo, the band works for the following year to compose, tryout and play in and around Trento.
Thanks to the strong understanding and harmony in the group, they consolidate their style, which is transformed from a simple Heavy Metal to something more personal, but still being tied to its roots.
In fact, a greater anger in the music and a deeper search in the piece's structure and text is noticeable. In 2008 the band record their second demo CuRsE oF mInD, which sees their popularity increase.
They play on important stages in the region and win several music contests.
