The band RENEWAL has started her existence in summer 1994 when the established members Dan- guitar,

Marian – bass guitar, vocal, Josef – guitar and Peca – drums were sitting in front of coffeteria in Ujezd and devised the band.

After non easy beginnings they learnt about 5 songs and began to play live.

It´s nessesary to add that it was not very often. They played something as trash, some covers of Slayer, Sepultura etc.

After some time Peca prefers football to Renewal, so on the drum chair sits the biggest fun of Renewal – Helmin.

His coming changes this music to trash/death. Josef doesn´t like it so he left to other (country music!) band where he is until today.

The remain trio: Dan, Marian and Helmin begans to work.

In 1998 is out first record with name Depressed with 6 songs: 1. Inside 2. Withouth help 3. Nothing 4. Killing game 5. Fake 6. Thousands of knives.

It was recorded in small studio Poličná where behind the mix was sitting Bob Kramoliš.

The sound was quite good and all the time of our recording was in restful atmosphere.

The record was out by ourself and it was released about 500 pieces of MCD and about 50 CD for friends.

The reviews in zines were very positive and the responses during live plays were super.

After Depressed Renewal began play the concerts very often (2 – 3 times per month) which was to hard for Marian and his place engaged Ondra.

In the beginings of 2000 Renewal starts to work at new songs which are to difficult for Ondra and he leaves (his girlfriend was next purpose).

About two or three concerts played Dan and Helmin on their own but it was not the real Renewal.

So they rather concencrate to new record.

In summer 2001 was recorded new record …And Full Hands Of Blood where is 5 new things + bonus Thousands Of Knives from last record.

Very soon after this recording Helmin leaves and bequeathing debts and bitterness. After a short time the band increases for new members - the guitar player Pavel, the bass guitar player Jura from far Ohnisov / Dobruska and drumer Tom from Zlin. Renewal still has in distribution the old and the new record and of course works at new materials.
