Our band got started in 1997, as four guitar-playing mates - Juri, Topi, Lasse, and Jussi - got together to play some heavy metal music. Things really got going when Topi bought a bass guitar and Lasse switched to drums; Juri learned how to sing while playing his trusty Jackson, and Jussi handled lead guitars.

In the early years the band was called Crown. We played in every minor function in the county, but mainly our time went into training and making new songs. Our first demo was recorded at the Kupittaa sanitarium in 1998.

In the end of the year 1999 Juri decided to concentrate on singing and sold his guitar. At that time we also had to change our name because we noticed that Swedish Metal band called Crown of Thorns has changed their name to The Crown.

In 2001 we recorded our second demo. We were slowed down by military services, as we all joined the army in different times and served a full year.

In the year 2002, two remarkable things happened considering the band: Topi had a child, and Nalle got enlisted. With the help of our new guitarist we got more edge into our songs.

In 2003 we made two demo recordings and started gigging. In our third demo we tested Nalle in the studio. We threw our first gig with this lineup in spring of 2003. In summer we recorded our fourth demo. When autumn came Topi told us he was gonna leave the band because of his lack of time. So Juri got an instrument in his hands again. There was no need to look for a new bass player because the job seemed to fit Juri along with singing.

Since then we have been gigging, writing material and generally honing our style and sound. Currently we have a lot of unrecorded material, which we are preproducing for a promo to be recorded soon.
