Biografia : Push (DK)

After the demise of his short lived project SATERIA in the early 1990's, Martie Peters formed PUSH with the intention to bring back the hard rock of the 1980's that he loved with a passion. The songs were filled with big hooks and catchy choruses with influences stemming from WHITE LION, CINDERELLA & RATT. Legend has it that original PUSH guitarist Martin DaRic came up with the name PUSH from listening to the song "Push Push" by CINDERELLA.PUSH released four albums from 1996-2002.Three of these albums were released by the UK based label, Z Records. Lead singer Martie Peters was the primary songwriter in the band and also co-producer on all albums. The album "4 The Love Of The Game" originally had different compositions, but due to legal reasons, various tracks were never officially released and had to be re-recorded.PUSH enjoyed moderate success overseas and toured with the likes of Pretty Maids, Ronnie James Dio and Royal Hunt, played shows in Sweden, Holland, Belgium and the UK to support all four albums. Reviews were fair and many compared the band to White Lion, but with a modern sound, raw guitars and multi-layered vocals became the trademark of the band and people began to take notice. On a number of occasions, Martie has worked with Mike Tramp of White Lion and the two begun a friendship that has lasted through the years. Martie performed backing vocals for Tramp's albums "Remembering White Lion" (1999), "More To Life Than This" (2003) which was recorded at the famous Sweet Silence Studio and engineered by Flemming Rasmussen (Metallica) and "Songs I Left Behind" for Frontiers Records (2004).PUSH went on hiatus in 2002 and the future is uncertain. However, Martie has since moved on to form his own band, (THE MARTIE PETERS GROUP)and he released his self titled debut album with the band in 2005 on MTM Records, home as such artists as Warrant, TNT and Danger Danger
