Brazilian Heavy Metal band, OCEAN SOUL started as a solo project of singer Andrea Pietro. She called singer and composer Renato Tribuzy to write some songs using several lyrics she wrote, and then, CD "Letter of a Suicidal" was born. The project grew up so fast that Andrea decided to look for musicians to join her in a band, which has become very well known in Rio de Janeiro's underground scene, having even the opportunity to opened up for several artists, such as Tuatha de Dannan and Tribuzy itself. The band has passed through some changes in the line-up, during the years. Today, Ocean Soul is formed by Diego Pirozzi and Ernani Henrique (guitars), former bass player Igor Thurler, who came back after two years away, Flavio Ouriques (drums) and Andrea herself taking the lead vocals. Their first album, "Letter of a Suicidal", was released in november 2006 (with the special guest appearances of singer Renato Tribuzy, Angra's guitar player Kiko Loureiro and Mistrust's singer Tácito Reis) and managed to get very good reviews in specialized magazines and websites. The band is now recording songs for a new EP, named "The Mean Old Lady", two of these songs are now in the current set-list of the band. Ocean Soul is just a reunion of people who still believe in the power of pure Heavy Metal, without pre-definitions, just a very heavy and loud music to make people bang their heads with all their souls!!
