Biografia : Nominon

1993
NOMINON was formed in January 1993 by Juha Sulasalmi and Peter Nilsson. As a duo they released two demos: Daemon I and II - both in 1993. The music they played back then was a mix of Death Metal and Black Metal, and the demos were spread only in the Swedish underground.

1995
In the fall of 1995 NOMINON became a whole band, line-up:

1996
NOMINON played their debut gig in February 1996 with DISMEMBER, DISSECTION and VERMIN. The same year they released a demo called "My Flesh". Cederborg got fired and Sulasalmi took over the guitar duties and they got Emil Dragutinovic as their new drummer. The band also recorded a new demo called "Demo II '96".

1997
In 1997 they played a few gigs and in August they recorded a promo tape, simply called "Promo '97". After the recording they kicked out Tobbe and David Svartz replaced him.

1998
Two months before the recording of their first album Lenny Blade, from the Thrash Metal act INCINERATOR (which also includes Jonas Mattsson on guitar), replaced David who was sacked out from the band. October 1998 NOMINON entered Studio Sunlight to record their debut album "Diabolical Bloodshed". After the recording NOMINON did a couple of gigs in Germany.

1999
Debut CD " Diabolical Bloodshed" was out on X-TREME RECORDS, 15 of November 1999.

2000
NOMINON played some festivals and started negotiations about a suitabel deal with a major death/grind label.

2001
In September the 20:th E. Dragutinovic and NOMINON parted ways. He was replaced a month later by Perra Karlsson, an old world drummer and a friend in the Swedish metal scene.

2002
In the summer, NOMINON became a fourpiece as longtime vocalist; Nicke Holstensson was released from his duties due to lack of interest. Late in the year three tracks was recorded by the band themself for a 7" EP.

.2003
3-track Cassette EP "Blaspheming The Dead" is released on Nuclear Winter Rds as the 7" EP is delayed due to a incompetent printing factory in Italy.
Five tracks is recorded during the summer for a MCD/MLP 12"-release.

2004
The MCD and MLP "The True Face of Death" are released. In April NOMINON supported MASTER on four dates in Sweden. A CD with old NOMINON demos is released by Northern Silence Prod. (Ger). In May the band is reduced to half the force when Lenny Blade and Jonas Mattsson decide to leave. A month later bassist Joel Andersson joined NOMINON and Juha took over the vocal duties for a while, but not for too long as Daniel Garptoft completed the line-up in early August. During September/October NOMINON did their first ever european tour together with the legendary U.K. death pioneers BENEDICTION as well as landmates GODHATE. NOMINON also signed a one album deal with Singapore label KONQUEROR RECORDS.'

2005
Starting the year with working on the second album as well as audtioning a second guitarplayer for a more brutal livesound. That guitarplayer was found the first week of January in Kristian Strömblad. In late January the guys recorded their second full-lenght album "Recremation" at Necromorbus Studio with engineer/producer Tore Stjerna. During March the superdelayed 7" EP "Blaspheming The Dead" was finally released by Greek label Nuclear Winter Rds. The album "Recremation" was released on CD by Konqueror Rds in late April and in May on 12" LP by Blood Harvest Rds. In May NOMINON also played at the cult festival Fuck The Commerce in Luckau, Germany.
After the summer NOMINON played their first mini-tour of Finland as well as went out on an European tour with the American legends VITAL REMAINS. This tour was the most successfull route so far for the gruesome fivesome on all levels.
