Biografia : Nocte Obducta

Everything started in summer 1993. At this time the band Desihra was founded playing a mixture of almost every metal style. The band broke up in 1995 finally after not being to motivated to play gigs or record any demos. Some songs of this band were taken up by the following band Nocte Obducta which consisted at the beginning of Marcel on guitar and vocals, Alex on keyboards and vocals and the Desihra members Limbach on drums and bass player S. Magic M. Later on the bass was handed over to Sathonys and Torsten joined the band for doing the vocals.
After experiencing a lot of troubles with rehearsal rooms Matthias - drummer in Agathodaimon - joined the band and finally the first demo ".. doch lächeln die blutleeren Lippen / Begräbnisvermählung" was recorded in studio during January 1998. A few gigs later the first deal with Grind Syndicate Media (GSM) was the consequence of the demo which received good reactions among the press.
In summer 1998 the band went into the Black Solaris studio in Frankfurt to record the first full length album "Lethe (Gottverreckte Finsternis)". With a lot of troubles and terrible sound the band deceided to record the album again in the Steinberger studios where the demo was recorded. So the debut album "Lethe" was released in 1998 and received - again - good reactions.
In spring 1999 Alex left the band but a new keyboard player was found very fast with Steffen Emanon. With this new line up Nocte Obducta recorded the second album "Taverne (In Schatten schäbiger Spelunken)" in August 1999 which became number one album in the Legacy Soundcheck and got only positive critics. Right after in November 1999 Sathonys had to leave the band and Shin joined as replacement. The work with the record label turned out to be not that positive at all but anyway the band recorded two albums in one single year, namely "Galgendämmerung (Von Nebel, Blut und Totgeburten)" and "Schwarzmetall (Ein primitves Zwischenspiel)". S. Magic M. left the band during and Shin after the recordings of "Galgendämmerung" which took more time than expected because of lack of financial possibilities. After finishing the work for "Galgendämmerung" Flerik took over the bass guitar. Finally the band has two guitar players with Thomas on the second guitar and was now heading straight towards the fifth album.
With a new label in the back the band decided to change the studios and enter the Maranis Studios and recorded the more calm album "Stille (Das nagende Schweigen)". The album received also absolutely positive critics despite of the musical changes. (Source: Supreme Chaos Rec.)
