In early 90's, mighty Thergothon unleashed most depressive, slow, heavy, extreme doom into the world of underground. Their ultimate depression bore a few spawn, one of which was in the south part of the earth. Mournful Congregation, the name is.
Birthed through the unseeing eye, amidst the darkest moments of 1993, Mournful Congregation began expressing deepest desires in the form of Extreme Doom Metal. Produced by late 1994 was the cult execution of four Doom hymns, acknowledged upon earth as "Weeping". Five hundred copies being delivered unto man, this provided the standard for their past, present, future and eternal ideals... Obscure, depressing, emotional, slow, heavy and epic Doom Metal.

Dark latent energies emerged late in 1995, offering once more to gods and men alike two new hymns, quickly becoming known as "An Epic Dream Of Desire". A like amount appearing throught the globe, known as the third from the great, winged solar disc this proved devotion unto original ideals.

Not revealing any new writings 'till the passing of 1998 into 1999, Mournful Congregation had fallen deeper into obscurity, enforcing their intertwined existence and dedication to the underground. Five most tearful arrangements became under one title, "Tears from A Grieving Heart".

The elusive creators and initiates of Mournful Congregation continue the dreaded misery captured in their music and lyric and shall burden man once more, reflecting his own turmoil and ultimate doom with the preservation upon 7" black disc of the most solemn and intricate piece, "The Epitome of Gods And Men Alike". Crafted by the blackest hand of matter, this hymn shall further prove their monumental devotion unto the cult of Extreme Doom Metal.
