MIASTHENIA – BIOGRAPHY

The Miasthenia is formed by Susane Hecate (vocals / keyboard), Thormianak (guitar / bass) and V. Digger (drums). The band plays Pagan Black Metal with lyrics in Portuguese and theme focused on the pre-Columbian paganism, wars of conquest of America in the sixteenth century and anti-Christian attitudes.
The band emerged in early 1994. In 1995 they record a demo-test "Para o Encanto de Sabbat", whose lyrics were chanted in Portuguese. This work was supported by the Sound Riot Productions distribution. In 1998 the demo "... Faun" was launched by the Evil Horde Records in Split CD "Visions of the noctural tragedies." Since 1998, the lyrical theme was increasingly inspired by the South American pagan mythology and the wars of conquest of the sixteenth century among Christians and Pagans in America. In 2000 the band released their first album "XVI" by Somber Music label. In 2004 released their album "Battle Ritual" and in 2008 the concept album "Ancestral Supremacy", both by Somber Music. That same year the band participated as guest of a mini tour covering cities in southeastern and southern Brazil, with the band Enthroned (Belgium). Each letter of "Ancestral Supremacy" was inspired by a movement or sect of pagan Amerindian resistance inquisition and catechizing in colonial America, based on defections and desecrations of pre-Columbian essence. In 2011 the band released a DVD (Bootleg) "The Ritual of the Rebellion" by Mutilation records. In 2013 the band presents its first official video "enthroned in death" (http://youtu.be/gnvdtsZV5Fo). In 2014 launches in Brazil the concept album "Legacy of the Underworld", whose theme was inspired by the mythology of the ancient Mayas about Xibalba (hell) and death. In Brazil, the band has shared the stage with great icons of Metal: Mayhem, Marduk, Enthroned, Incantation, Hate and Azagal. At the moment the band has just released an official video of the song "13 ahau Katun" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDh_vX-uwJ0).
