Biography Manticora
In 1996 Lars Larsen and Kristian Larsen played in a band called Fear Itself. That band split up in April 1996 and the two Larsen members decided to form a new band to play power metal. After a couple of months they had formed a new band which went under the name Manticore. Since that name was already taken by another band they later on changed to Manticora. In the summer of 1997 they recorded a demo that sold about 1000 copies. They later on signed with the Greek label Black Lotus before finally ending up on the Italian label Scarlet Records, a company they later parted with. In June 2004 Manticora signed with Massacre Records for Europe, Australia and Canada and with Nightmare Records for the USA.
