Madog's biography

Hansi Zedrosser founded MADOG around 1992. But the band existed till summer 1995 because they became to split-up in fact of musical differences. Since this time MADOG have played Traditional Heavy/Power Metal.
Till 1997 it was quiet calm around MADOG. In summer of 1997 Hansi asked to Chris if he would join in the band and so, he did. At this time, MADOG was a three piece with: Hansi, Otto and Chris. A year later they meet a guy called Alex Humer, this was in winter of 1998, and they decided that he should join the band as well. In fact, they needed a second guitar and of course, he was a nice guy as well. They have been the same line-up since 1998. They have a good understanding in the band and that's an important part for them. They are not only making music, they four became really good friends.

After playing gigs in Austria and Germany, they recorded their first album called "Dreamland" in November 1999. This debut album was released in February 2000. Hellion Records from Germany carried the distribution for Europe. This album sold around 1000 copies in the Europe. They also got very good reviews and they played many gigs with this release.

In 2002 they produced and released their self-financed second album entitled "Fairytales Of Darkness". The album was self-financed and sold in Austria and Germany only. Now, "Fairytales Of Darkness" will be re-printed through Sound Riot with a new mastering done by Akeem at Indiscreet Studios (reference: Accept, Sinner, Primal Fear, and Sacred Steel) from Germany, a new cover done by Jason Juta and a new CD layout/design. It will also include a bonus track exclusively. If there is justice in the world, Sound Riot has done it by releasing this album to all Metal fans in the world to can enjoy this promising band.

The MADOG music is a nice combination of up-tempo and mid-tempo Metal songs. MADOG are competent enough to compete with other great Teutonic sounding Speed Power Metal bands from the Europe. MADOG have indeed written some killer songs and as there are so many bands playing in this style actually, good songs are a simple necessity. You will get totally impressed and totally thrilled with their music!
