Biografia : Last Breath Ashore

Last Breath Ashore first came to be in February of 2010 because of an ad placed in search of a drummer by Chris Ott (guitar) looking to begin a new project. The ad was answered by Yousif Del Valle (drummer) and the two started working on some of Chris's previously unfinished songs.

When it came to the vocals, Chris had the perfect person in mind to get the job done, and Thomas Schultz (vocals/guitar) was clearly the only choice. Thomas and Chris already being long time friends as well as former band mates got the ball rolling quick on the writing process.

It was about a month later that the band had decided to begin looking for a bass player to fill the voids and complete the sound. Thomas had invited a friend who he knew was eager to begin playing and the try out was successful. With the addition of Ryan Korolchuk (bass) the band was now complete.

After 9 months of writing and practicing the band was able to record their demo album titled Ashes of Affliction in only a few short months with the help of Ryan Mach and Mike “Zeus” Achterling. Just after the finish of the album the band was hit with devastating news, December 24th Yousif Del Valle (drummer) decided to part ways with the band. The experience with Yousif was inspirational and defining in regards to the band’s sound, and he will be missed.

The band had thought of their options and finally decided to bring in Eric Rundell (drummer) on January 16th, 2011 to see if he was going to fit the mold. Once again the band had the right person in mind to fill in the void. Currently Last Breath Ashore is back to writing and working on a full length album with the intention of another release late 2011 or early 2012.
