Biography Kemet

Deep in the darkest boundaries of the soul, the work of Kemet fires our rejected feelings, the unconfessed part of ourselves, melancholic aims painfully hidden behind a chaotic organic life.
Kemet invites you to pass beyond the safe limit of the soul and to flirt with the rusty intricacies of the moral imprisonment.
Between whispers and anger , Kemet consoles and destroys. Rage or despair. Kemet catches reality and describes a world where deviancies and painful idylls join and untie in a deep melancholy and a devastating romanticism.
Inspired by the "voice" of emotion, the words are mixed with laments to transcribe images that are always more acid and sincere
Handsomely rewarded by international press (reviews available at www.kemet.fr.fm), the music of Kemet charms or condemns, provokes the listener to bring him far beyond the formatted dark standards , and develops a music defined as "Spleen Metal". An emotion that the band reproduces at its best on stage.
"The Night Before...last record of Kemet is the outcome of 6 years of artistic maturity, and shapes a new step in the band"s history.
Mastered at the Finnvox Studios (Finland) by Mikka Jussila (Moonspell, Sentenced…), it also benefits from the strong promotion and the worldwide distribution of Thundering records. Adeline Gurtner, lead singer of Akin, has also come to complete the line-up of the band for the recording of this brand new album.
Before the concretization of Kemet (July 1997), most of the members evolved within another formation with much more heavy tendencies . These four years of practice permitted to the act to acquire a strong experience, a cohesion in the composition and a strong scenic approach.
