Biography : K-Again

October 1998... The band was officially founded in Milan (Italy), stemming from the ashes of different bands and emerging as a crew destined to send shockwaves throughout the local music scene. The original line up was:

PIGO: Vocals
DA MATT: Guitar
GENTLEMAN (a.k.a. STEF) - Guitar
ALEX: Bass
SICK59: Drums

1999… k-again unleashed their first demo "Fake Friends" in 1999, to a flurry of critical acclaim & financial success. However, it was with the band's trademark signature of devastating live performances that first attracted k-again's now growing legion of fans.
The band's undeniable presence did not go unnoticed by labels either, as later in the summer of 1999,
k-again struck a deal with Evident Records (a small label based in Milan, Italy), and began work on their full-length debut album "Goodbye". Before the band begin the recording sessions Da Matt quit the band and he's quickly replaced by Edge and added Cili as a dj.

2000… After a never-ending recording process of the album the band decided to parted ways from the label itself and the album never seen the light of the day.
Other accomplishments followed as they took over the Rolling Stone Club (a famous venue relocated in Milan, Italy) including an invite as the only italian band on the "Korn Night" (a tribute-show for the band's gig in Milan on May 2000). Press and recognition by several respected italian music associations including Rocksound Magazine, Hard Magazine.
Alex (bass player) quit the band and Tambu became the new bass player plus LT as a second singer.
At same time k-again's presence even invaded the U.S. where they signed with Pathologic Promotions (a smaller U.S. promotion company based in Michigan).
They has also been praised and recognized by a number of U.S. webzines including Undevoured, Dynamic Rock, Nosebleed17, Unrestrained, TheMusicTank, Indulged and Hammerpunch.

2001… the band signed with another italian label 2KKrecords and finally they released the long awaited "revisited" version of their debut album "Goodbye" on March 15th, followed by a sold-out showcase at the Rolling Stone Club and an italian tour.
Cili (dj) quit the band.
In the same year, the band was also selected by Shoutweb (a U.S. webzine), as one of five nominees for the "Unsigned Band Competition", which was awarded to 5-LINE LEGACY (Canada)...k-again was not far behind.
During the summer and after a massive northern Italian tour the band amicable parted ways with Edge, LT and Tambu but the big chance for their lives arrives... they were invited for the "Locobazooka 2001 Festival" (a massive festival that took place every year in the Boston area) in Worcester, MA (U.S.A.) with acts like DISTURBED, NONPOINT, ROLLINS BAND, PUYA, GODHEAD, KITTIE, SWITCHED, BIOHAZARD and other local bands. Their plane was supposed to left on September 13th…
After that big missed-show they played only one show near Milan with a friend of them (Tommy) helping them with the bass duties. They offered him to join the band but he won't due to pursuit his college dreams. After 3 years of career Sick59 amicable parted ways with the band and joined the Italian heavy-punk band Mas Ruido.

2002… The remaining duo (Pigo and Stef) immediately found Skizzo (as the new bass player), Sig (as a new drummer that offered his services until they found another drummer) and Lenny as a second guitarist. The new line up travelled to legendary Fear Studios in Ravenna (Italy) to record three songs for a new EP titled "UltraViolence" which represents a change of musical direction for the band with more metal and hardcore influences but stray away from the sound of the beginning. Before the shows began guitarist Lenny quit the band and they continued as a four piece band and after a few months playing shows across northern Italy they saw the departure of drummer Sig.
The guys introduced Dany as their new drummer.
They shooted two videos. The first one is "Twins Of Blood" which received a good airplay on an Italian rock tv channel "RockTV" and the second one "My Time"…both songs are taken from the EP "UltraViolence"
During the same year after a couple of shows (including the first time ever in southern Italy) the band parted ways with Dany due to an injury.

2003… k-again recruited Leeno as their new drummer and they recorded a new "home-made" EP titled "UltraViolence EXTENDED". They pressed a few copies as volume 2 for the EP "UltraViolence".
After a lot of shows finally in August something changed in their career...they travelled to Hollywood (CA, U.S.A.) to record a new effort with Logan Mader (former member of Machine Head, Soulfly, Medication and Stereo Black). That experience was very important for the band because they learned a lot of things...they were in L.A.!!!
Unfortunately after that, during October Leeno quit the band and they found immediately a new drummer Ruben.

2004… After a lot of rehearsals that forced the band to stay far away from the stages at the beginning of that year they kicked off the "Hate Is Now The Only Answer Tour" that took place in Italy but also for the first time sees the guys play in other european countries like Switzerland and Holland in different times between January and May.
They launched their official streetteam with Brice (a cool guy from France) that offered his help for the band). Due to his work the name of the band is quickly spreaded across other european countries and a lot of fans began to be part of this army…the k-soldiers.
The guys inked two deals with two clothing company from U.S.A.: Dirtbag Clothing and Funeral Clothing.
Finally in September they released their much anticipated EP produced by Logan Mader through 2KKrecords:
"Memories Of An Evolution".
The whole band decided that the time for relocate themselves in Los Angeles was arrived. It was a decision matured during through these years. They decided to stay there for three months and for that they quit jobs, spent money, energy and time just to go there and try to do something.
Over there they linked a deal with Ignition Productions (a U.S. management from L.A.).
It was a dream come true for the whole band except for Ruben (the drummer), The guy decided to quit at the end of june with no reason leaving the rest of the band completely shocked in Los Angeles with gigs and showcases coming!!!
During August and September the remaining three guys began some auditions in search of a drummer and finally they found one.
Another chapter is beginning…BE PREPARED!!!

2005... The band began the year playing across different countries in Europe such as Italy, Netherlands, France, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Belgium having the honor to share the stage with different bands and reaching the chance to play for the first time ever in a big festival in Belgium called “Durbuy Rock Fest” with acts like Napalm Death, Caliban, Born From Pain, As We Fight and many others.
During the summer the band inked a deal with Underscore Lab/Musicast (a French record label) for the release of their 2003 effort “Memories Of An Evolution” in France only. Time has passed since the writing process for that ep and the guys keep on continue evolving themselves musically writing a lot of new stuff for their official second record.
Other shows are planned for the “Hate Is Now The Only Answer Tour” across Europe… BE READY!!!
