In January 2004, after responding to advertisements in the local newspaper and music stores, Michael Julian (drums) and Shanul Sharma (vocals) met with Reg Dury (guitars & synth) who expressed his interest in creating music with a strong progressive metal influence.
Primarily based in the Wagga Wagga area, the musicians laid the foundation of the band and began writing music that was progressive, intricate and melodic.
Six months down the track, the band decided to record their self-titled debut album 'Jennifer Will Drown' without a fulltime bassist. This resulted with Reg Dury composing the bass lines for the album. Jennifer Will Drown recieved critical acclaim when their album was reviewed in one of Brazil's most respected metal magazines 'ROCK BRIGADE' http://www.rockbrigade.com.br. The album's exceptionally diverse sound also made it the first metal album to gain airplay on Riverina's ABC radio.
With a number of live shows in front of them, the band now needed a fulltime bass player and after a few auditions Matthew Swan was chosen.
In January 2005, after a number of successful live shows, the band was informed that they had been invited to play with Brazillian power metal legends ANGRA http://www.angra.net on the Australian leg of their world tour. This gave the band more credibility and propelled their popularity to new heights.
Today the band is known for their electric live performances, diverse following and musical abilities.
Currently Jennifer Will Drown is exploring new horizons and have therefore incorporated the talents of Matthew Elliot as second guitarist and Daniel Matthews on bass replacing Matthew Swann.
