Biografia : Jag Panzer

Greetings fellow metal heads! In 1978 the first band I was a part of had Mark Briody , John Tetley, and Rick Hillyard in it. It then became Jag Panzer.I first desired to become a metal man when I heard Ronnie James Dio on HEAVEN AND HELL.I had been singing in choirs and solo since 1978 and had won several awards for classical solo performance.

I heard Dio and flipped. How can a person evoke so much power and emotion with such a fragile organ-instrument? Then the voice of Bruce Dickinson on NUMBER OF THE BEAST set precedence. And later Geoff Tate raised the bar even higher on MIND CRIME.

This is Mark Briody, one of the guitarists for Jag Panzer. I'm a native
of Colorado Springs, Colorado and I still live here. My hobbies and
interests include heavy metal, computer programming, graphic design, video
production, scuba diving and DVD collecting.

I started playing guitar at 15. My first exposure was when Harry (the
Tyrant) showed me a few chords and the main riff to 'God of Thunder' by
Kiss. I then took 3 years of lessons at Johnny Smith's studio. Johnny was
the guitarist for Bing Crosby

Hey all you Panzer fans, my name is Chris Broderick, and I am the lead guitarist in Jag Panzer. I have been fortunate enough to be signed to the band since 1997 when Joey Tofolla couldn't complete Jag Panzer's first tour to support The Fourth Judgment.

I started playing when I was 11 and grew up listening to bands like King Diamond, Metallica, and of course guitar virtuoso's like Jason Becker, Paul Gilbert, and Yngwie Malmsteen to name a few. When combined with everyone else in Jag Panzer, I believe you get a unique blend of musical styles that in the end creates it's own sound. I hope to see all of you out on tour,

Take it easy. Chris

This is John Tetley, the bass player for Jag Panzer. My hobbies and interest include sci fi and horror movies and collectibles, heavy metal, CD collecting of all types of music including movie soundtracks, DVD collecting, McFarlane movie monster action figures, concert's

I started playing around 18, I just bought a bass and a amp and I wanted to learn how to play and it so happen that Mark, Harry and Rick Hilyard where playing in a band called Purple Haze and there bass player had quit and Mark ask me to join because I already had gear and so he started teaching me basic idea's on how to play the bass.
Our band had several different names til we called ourselves Jag Panzer when we had recieved our first record deal from Azra (Iron Works) Records.

Influences: My early influences include bands like Rush, Yes, Styx, Thin Lizzy, Foghat, Kiss, Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath, UFO and then later bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Saxon, Angel Witch etc. had a major influence on me in the early stages of our band.Bass players that I listen to and influence by are Tony Levin, Mick Karn, Fabio Pignatelli- "Goblin", John Myung, Geddy Lee, Chris Squire the list's goes on.

I have been influenced by a number of drummers over the years. The infectious grove of John Bonam, the power of Cozy Powell, and the feel of Stuart Copeland. These are just the three that come to mind as influencing what I want to accomplish in my drumming. I play what feels right and that dictates what I play when I am in the studio or live. I love drummers who play from the heart.
