Biografia : Ivan Tzarevich

The music style of the group Ivan Tsarevitch is epic-folk-metal. It presents a fusion of Russian epos and folklore on the one hand, and synthesis of modern heavy music, on the other.
During the first year of the group’s creative activities the unusual concert program was created – it combined accomplishments of rock show technologies and costume folk – the show based on the best traditions of national culture. It combines poems, heroic epic, tales, i.e. the Russian epos in the wide sense with acting techniques and energy of the hard music. In the course of year the group was invited to Japan, where it took part in a special program together with the Russian ballet. Having returned to Russia, the group recorded its first album, “Ivan-Tsarevitch-1”.

In 2003 the clip “Rossiya, vpered!” was shot. The orchestra of Russian folk musical instrument “Russkiye Uzory” took part in the concert program and in clip filming. The group participated in rock festivals. For example, Nashestvie 2005-2006, Slava Rossii 2005-2007, Prodvizheniye, and many different folk-metal festivals.

The ideology of the group is based on traditions of Slavic Vedaic Native Religion, philosophy of love and patriotism, rebirth of native culture and spiritual riches.

In 2005 the group Ivan Tsarevitch went on tour to military units of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russian Federation, located in Chechen Republic.

A historic reconstruction and fencing club “Tsitadel” takes part in concerts of the group. The club presents spectacular medieval battles with ancient weapons and fire show with elements of stuntmen art.



In 2007 the album “IDU NA VY” appeared. The group gave series of concerts in Russia as the part of album promotion campaign, among them concerts for the seamen of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
At the present time the musician are creating a new album “Zvezda Rusi”. Authors of texts are: Leo Hao (Лео Хао), Mecheslav Ratov (Мечеслав Ратов) and Sergey Zagatin (Сергей Загатин).
