Immortal Angelica is a band from Jyväskylä, Finland, consisting of 6 members. Currently the band has two vocalists, guitarist, drummer, violinist and a synthesizer-guitarist.

The music and the compositions blend several styles, including metal, celtic and motion picture-music. They are moving, melodic and diverse. The blending of different styles adds a special kind of athmosphere to the compositions, which is not describable by words.

When writing this, Immortal Angelica has been active only from the beginning of July 2007 while the founder members Sol Angelica and Myrtilla have begun composing and playing together much earlier on.

A few years ago, like written to the stars, two creative maidens found each other and began to find themselves musically and in other ways as well. Soon after inspirational moments playing together and chimerical visions, an idea of forming a melancholic and dark metal band evolved.

At this point Myrtilla had only just begun to strike chords with piano and guitar strings whereas Sol Angelica, a self-taught pianowizard, had already started composing at young age. She sang songs about the arriving autumn and mushrooms with her beautiful voice.

Myrtilla was patiently encouraged by Sol and little by little she began to succeed in it and also in composing music. The two of them dared to begin a thorough search for more band members. The search went on for a long time until violinist Tiina and drummer Timo decided to join the project. The former duo began to expand into a real band.

At first, the band practised together only every now and then, until Timo surprised them all by announcing the band to perform in Casino Rock in summer 2007. Practising harder began to feel interesting because of the panic caused by the upcoming performance. Completing the band with another vocalist and a guitarist became an important objective because the band wanted to manage with the first gig.

So 'a vocalist wanted'-application was put into muusikoiden.net. The requirements for the singer were clear - the vocalist should have an ethereal voice and the vocal range should be vast. All the band could do was to wait for an answer. Guitarist Vinski's own application was found from muusikoiden.net where he was searching for a band. The application aroused interest in the band. Right after the first contact the adolescent was picked up to the rehearsal place where he blew the minds of everyone present and atrophied the other guitarist Myrtilla's ego.

Later the ethereal-voiced Emirien came to audition. She grabbed the microphone and when she began to sing, the listeners were moved and the founder members stated their dream finally fulfilled. Immortal Angelica was almost complete and pursuing the chimerical dreams could be continued with a six-membered legion.
