Biography : Holy Sagga

Holy Sagga was founded in 1994 by Anderson Carlo and Gustavo Duarte that intended to seek the Thrash Metal’s roots however Maurício Queiroz joined the band in 1996 and he brought a melodic soul to the team.

Holy Sagga means "searching for an internal growth to achieve a personal improve or merely the “sacred saga.”

Connecting heavy metal, speed metal and a strong influence of melodic metal they started recordings sessions of the first album called “Planetude” in the beginning of the year 2001.

The album was recorded in São Paulo-Brazil and finished in Germany, by renowned Sascha Paeth.

“Planetude” was very well received in Brazil and Europe mainly in Japan getting an excellent review on the famous Burrn! Countless gigs were booked publishing in an outstanding way the first album for whole Brazil.

In 2003, Holy Sagga earned a new level of admiration getting high-levels in metal contests on metal radio shows by votes of the audience. Currently in Japan “Planetude” is among the Top 10 selling albums and keep available to purchase. Still in this year the band made several gigs alongside Shaman during Ritual World Tour.

Soon after four former-members announced they were leaving the band giving place to Caio Siqueira, Adriano Diniz and Udo Stramm.

In 2008 these new guys are teaming up with Maurício Queiroz getting ready to the final phase of the recordings sessions from the new album and it will reach the stores until the end of 2008.
