Hlidolf managed to create a unique mix between dark space ambient, drone and extreme slow instrumental doom, resulting in a ultra-minimalistic and repetitive funeral-alike ambience. The ‘underground’ production and likewise sound quality fit the music very well, giving it a timeless and natural character, every note and sound having it’s role and place in the long tracks, creating emotional and deep atmospheres that don’t need much detail or extremely complex structures to be effective and let the listener enter another level of conciousness. This is music to be experienced, and describing the experience would be near impossible, such is the genious and power of this one-man band.
