Hideous Mangleus has been in a hiatus now for quite a number of years. Sam Biles is in the process of putting together a new act that will also play songs from his other acts like Hideous, but due to legal problems (not band related in any way), etc this is still at least six months away.

Sam Biles is also in another band that is currently on indefinate hiatus called "Goblin" (USA). Ecocentric Records Germany has just release their "Sewn Together...Torn Apart" CD. For more info goto www.ecocentricrecords.com .

The line up listed as the current line up on this site is not intended to be in any way a permanent replacement for other founding members, but really is just a group of close friends who have offered their services in helping Sam Biles get some of the unreleased Hideous Mangleus stuff out to the fans. Beyond this there are not "officially" any plans for this line-up to play gigs or write new material, but mainly just to facilitate getting these "left over" tunes out to the fans via a 7" or CD or whatever format it may take. This process has been mainly delayed by financial restraints, but maybe 2008 will finally present the opportunity to get to the studio and record these songs.

In some of the various resources available on the web you will find people like "MaggotEater" and "GoreHammer" listed as previous members, but while it is true these individuals did audition for Hideous mangleus in approximately '04, no shows were ever played or anything released with these individuals, so the position of the band is that they were never "members". No big deal, we wish them the best in all they do. Infact there is a possibilty that Sam Biles may work to some capacity or other in the future with Gorehammer under some name or other, but again this does constitute membership in Hideous Mangleus. If you see them listed on other websites please remove their names and put a "disclaimer" as to why. Again, we have no ill will towards this individuals and have supported their other ventures, but just trying to keep these histories as accurate as possible.

Many have inquired about the possibilty of a 100% reuniting of founding members, but at this point in time the only plans that are even possibly on the table are a 20th Anniv. Gig sometime in '09. More more in on this or anything Hideous goto www.myspace.com/hideousmangleus .
