Biography : Hexperos

The name Hexperos comes from Hesperides and Hesperos,
which is the name of the first star that appears at twilight.
This is also the favourite star of the goddess of love, Aphrodite.
As a matter of fact, you can see a star in her symbol, the apple, when you cut it in two halves.
The Hesperides are myths that care of a tree with golden apples and they sing with sweet voices.

Hexperos is the new project of the soprano Alessandra Santovito (ex founder member of Gothica) and Francesco Forgione (double bass and keyboard). As in her previous music project, Alessandra has involved good musicians, such as the harpist Francesca Romana Di Nicola and the violinists Domenico Mancini and Alessandro Pensa.
Alessandra is a soprano, but thanks to her numberless experiences she can sing in various ways, so that her voice, like her music, evokes from the Mediterranean style to the north European one, from the ancient genre to the modern one.
Hexperos is music of love and mystery.

In 2007, Hexperos release their first album "The Garden of the Hesperides".
