..MySpaceProfile Help!Giltine's Gintaras was formed in 2003, when Karen Sudnius, female singer, decided to develop a project combining Lithuanian mythology and folkloric music with metal music.

In Lithuanian mythology, Giltine is the goddess of death and Gintaras (ambar in Lithuanian language) was thought to be the dry tears of the gods. So, the name can be translated as "the dry tears of the death goddess".

Nicolas Perez decided to work on this project in 2004.
The first cd was recorded between December 2006 and April 2007.
In 2007, the band begun searching for a label and formed the live band.
The same year, the band recorded a cover of Dream Theater "Forsaken" that is included in the tribute CD to this band, edited by the Argentinean label Black Medusa.
In March 2008, the band releases it's first EP, anticipating the release of their first cd by the end of the year.
