Biografia : Garwall

In 1997 the band is formed under the name SUDDEN DEATH by Yann Levenot (bass guitar) and Christophe Cervo (Guitar). Quickly, Sammy Hemila and Warok join the band respectively as drummer and singer, Warok then proposes the name GARWALL for the formation.

After a few gigs, the band records its first demo entitled "Lycanthropic War", but it hasn't distributed much because it didn't fit with the new orientation of GARWALL at this time.

A second demo, entitled "Inhumana Crudelitas", is recorded and distributed to 333 tapes in the underground BM. A few months after that, Warok leaves the band, and is replaced by MkM from ANTAEUS.

GARWALL takes part in several compilations : "Innate", "Waging the war" (Seplulchral Productions), and "The return of darkness and hate" (Drakkar Productions). Balrog joins the band as second guitarist in 1999.

MkM leaves Garwall after a few gigs. Then it is Balrog who handles the vocals as well as the second guitar.

The mini CD "Abyssus Abyssum Invoca" is co-produced by the French label Adipocere records in 2001. Yann Levenot leaves the band after this recording.

Eric Savidan does a few gigs with the band as a bassist, and then he is replaced by Olivia Scemama (NO RETURN) in 2003.

In january 2004, GARWALL signs a deal for 4 records in 6 years with the French
