Galadriel arose in Juli 1995 with the following founding members: Dodo Ïatel (bass/vocals), Voloïa Zadrapa (guitar), Dr.Victor Gieci (drums). Their style: melodic doom metal
In January 1996 recording of first demo tape "Ruins Of Time" with four songs occured, but things changed when in August the female vocalist Sona Witch Kozáková entered the band. The same month they Recorded the first CD "Empire Of Emptiness" in Exponent Studio (Slovakia) with the guest keyboard player Ivan "King" Král (ex-Lunatic Gods). Later the rhythm guitarist Chulo Malachovský entered the band and a deal for the releasing the first CD "Empire Of Emptiness" was made with british label Unknown Territory. Early 1997 additional recording of three new songs was done for the "Empire Of Emptiness" CD again in Exponent Studio. A month later the first official keyboard player Erik Schmer entered the band. But in May guitarist (and founder member) Voloïa Zadrapa left the band, being replaced by 16 year old guitarist Tomax Gabris. Tomax Gabris at once started cooperation for the creation of a new material. "Empire Of Emptiness" CD was released in September with the 6 month delay by Unknown Territory. In November new (second) material called "The Mirror Of Ages" was recorded, again in the Exponent Studio. keyboardist Erik Schmer left the band in 1998, and GALADRIEL played some gigs without keyboards. In may that year keyboardist J.S.K. entered the band, and the second album "The Mirror Of Ages" was preliminary released on MC (tapes) by the band in September. At the end of the year guitarist Chulo Malachovsky left the band, replaced by new guitarist Gabriel Holenka. "The Mirror Of Ages" CD was released by Unknown Territory again, in February 1999. Already in September the follow-up "Oblivion" was recorded, and released early 2000 by Unknown Territory and MC (tapes) version was released by the band. In June the cooperation with the label Unknown Territory ended. There was a big dissatisfaction with the promotion and distribution of all band´s released CD´s.
Not much later Gabriel Holenka left the band. On live performance in Brno (Czech Republic) played with band guitarist Maros Plavka, but he wasn´t a good as a band member. In November the band recorded a demo with two songs because of trying a new studio Moonste in Šala (Slovakia). There was recorded songs: "Thorns" and "Among Your Tears I Lie". May 2001 came with the offer to be a part of the compilation A Tribute To Blind Guardian and the next month the recording of a cover version "The Bard´s Song-The Hobbit" of Blind Guardian in the Studio J in Trnava (Slovakia) was a fact. From September - November the 4th CD "From Ashes & Dust" was recorded in the Studio J and a contract with the Metal Age Production about releasing of the 4th CD was signed in November. The next year a video shoot for "From Ashes & Dust" was completed, and "From Ashes & Dust" CD was released with the 3 month delay. New guitarist Matus Hanus then entered the band. The band nearly ended in 2003 after personal disagreements. Consequence: Female vocalist Soòa Witch Kozáková, keaboardist J.S.K. and drummer Dr. Victor Gieci left the band !!! Guest keyboardist Andrej Kutiš (Dead Poets Society) took over for the forthcoming live performances, as well as the former band´s drummer Dr. Victor Gieci (In The Web) for the forthcoming live performances as a guest musician.
