Biography : Fireball Ministry

“As the idea of rock heroes keeps fading into the background, along comes Fireball Ministry to pump life back into it. No bitching, no politics, just a party, fueled by the amazing music they create and James A. Rota II's powerhouse vocals. If I do one thing right at MTV, it'll be to make Fireball Ministry the biggest band in the world.” – Iann Robinson, MTV News.

These purveyors of rock have been awakened, and Rev. James A. Rota II, Janis Tanaka, Emily J. Burton and John Oreshnick are back to set the record straight. With two prior releases under their belt, “Où Est La Rock?” (Bong Load Records) and “FMEP” (Small Stone Records),Fireball Ministry is prepared to spread their newest message of hard rock and heavy metal to the congregation. Fireball Ministry's latest release, “The Second Great Awakening”, is an all out aural-assault on these ironic times where the true meaning of “rock” has long been forgotten.Who better to remind the masses than the First Church of Rock ´n' Roll?

Fireball Ministry has been featured as a “You Hear It First” band on MTV, as well as on the newly revived MTV's “Headbanger's Ball.” The music of Fireball Ministry has been heard on the television series “Blue Torch TV” and in the Tony Hawk Tour DVD. The band has shared bills with Motörhead, Danzig, Rollins Band, Fu Manchu, High on Fire and Unida as well as played the “November to Dismember” festival. They were nominated for a 2001 LA Weekly Music Award for Best Hard Rock/Metal band.

Their Nuclear Blast debut, “The Second Great Awakening,” was produced by Grammy-Award® winning Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Danzig, Velvet Revolver). The album features exclusive artwork by cult comic artist Dan Brereton of Nocturnals fame, and includes the songs “Master Of None,” “Flatline” and “The Sinner” among others. Let the ceremony begin!
